Between Rochester and Boston
Zwischen Rochester und Boston
Samstags putzen wir immer. Flora und ich haben das ganze Haus geputzt, und Peter hat Miriam zum Bahnhof in Rochester gefahren. Sie ist mit dem Zug zurück nach Boston gefahren, was zehn Stunden dauert! Freunde haben sie dort abgeholt und nach New Hampshire gefahren.

Veronika went for a walk and found a Jacaranda tree for me! I love those trees. I took a picture at the Huntington in 2015 of such a tree.
Veronika war heute spazieren und hat einen Jacaranda für mich fotografiert, weil ich diese Bäume so gerne mag. 2015 habe ich einen im Huntington Garten fotografiert.

Oh, that is a long train ride, but I love train rides! It's a nice slow time to read and knit and look out the window.

DeleteIt's nice to see the Jacaranda tree and the sweet photo of Jonathan with Julius! Charlotte's rose photos are amazing! So beautiful! This apartment needs a good cleaning! . . So kudos to you and Flora for all the work on cleaning the house. It's a nice accomplishment and feels good :)
ReplyDeleteI think Jacaranda trees are so pretty! I love that photo of Jonathan . . . Denver seems to have some pretty flowers. We had to do some more cleaning than usual because there was not much time before Easter with the flood and Holy Week. Also, there were beds to strip and sheets to wash. Yes, it does feel good to have things cleaned up again.
DeleteI began washing sweaters today and will move on to hats, scarves and gloves tomorrow and the weekend. I hope your house is all dried out now.
DeleteOh, good, we have not done any washing of winter things yet. Today we needed them again because it was snowing! No, the garage is still a bit damp and muddy. We need more warmth!

DeleteLovely sharing and photos - the one of Jonathan with Julius is just the sweetest. Last week I finally decluttered our bedroom and this week I tackled the leaning tower of paper clutter 😂. My brain has been on a ‘go slow’ since Mum died as I think the past weeks are catching up with me xx
ReplyDeleteI love that photo, it shows Jonathan's tender side. Oh, that is wonderful that you managed to clean up so much! We also have towers like that. Maybe I should say that Peter has towers like that in his offices . . . You need time to work through all the emotions and your loss.

DeleteSchreiben tun sie schon, aber mit dem Fotografieren hat es vor allem mein Großer nicht so.
DeleteIst wahrscheinlich Typsache. Viele Jungen fotografieren nicht so gerne, aber Jonathan hatte schon ganz früh einen sehr komplizierten Fotoapparat. Er hat immer gerne fotografiert.

DeleteMein Vater und mein Onkel haben früher gerne fotografiert, mein Onkel hatte sogar eine Dunkelkammer. Meine Brüder haben das aber eigentlich nicht gemacht.
DeleteMein Vater hat viel fotografiert, mein Schwiegervater auch, mein Mann ist begeisterter Fotograf, unser Jüngster auch. Und einer meiner Brüder und mein Neffe, fotografieren alle gerne.
