Today is St. Joseph's day. We read the picture book you see above. The story has been quite altered from the original German one, but it is wonderful to find a picture book that features St. Joseph.
Heute ist Josefstag. Wir haben das Bilderbuch, das man oben sieht, gelesen. Es gibt auch eine deutsche Ausgabe. Es beruht auf der Legende Der heilige Joseph im Walde, doch ist diese Legende verändert worden. Man findet selten Bilderbücher mit dem heiligen Josef und daher war dieses Buch eine schöne Entdeckung.
Oh, that is very interesting about Maurice Sendak writing this story based on the Grimm tale. I'll have to keep an eye out for this book also, as I've never seen it and my library doesn't have it. I love all Maurice Sendak's illustrations.
