They also have a particular aroma which I like. It reminds me of Jones Beach and the summers that I would go with my family. The walkway to the boardwalk was covered with petunia plants and in the warm air, the fragrance was strong. I will forever have a connection with petunias and sea air!
Oh, that is such a wonderful connection. I, unfortunately, have to think of cemeteries. The smell reminds me of German cemeteries. I don't remember seeing so many petunias there, but maybe I just remember the smell and not the flowers. I am not sure.
