There was a beautiful concert in Letchworth Park last night, followed by fireworks. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performed mainly American composers: Gershwin, Copland, Bernstein, and Williams. You were not allowed to take pictures during the concert, so I only have one before it started and two from the intermission.
Es gab gestern abend ein wunderschönes Konzert in Letchworth Park, auf das Feuerwerk folgte. Das Orchester von Buffalo spielte vorwiegend amerikanische Komponisten: Bernstein, Gershwin, Copland und Williams. Man durfte keine Fotos während des Konzertes machen, daher habe ich nur ein Foto, das ich vor dem eigentlichen Anfang aufgenommen habe und zwei, die ich während der Pause gemacht habe.

Hello Eva, this sounds so wonderful. I love all these composers. And it wasn't too hot, either? I hope you've been having nice weather this week. It was comfortable in the city. We're out on Montauk until tomorrow, checking on the house with my sister. There's some mold in the basement that is just so worrisome!!! WE have to research what to do . . but the weather here is gorgeous: sunny and breezy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful evening, there was rain in forecast and it did pour right before the concert, but stopped then. It was not hot at all, it got quite cool. The concert was free and packed. We had to park in designated parking lots and then take a shuttle to get to the place in the park where the concert was.
DeleteToday, it was muggy again and will stay so the next few day, with thunderstorms. That is not so great for the campers.
Oh, basement problems are bad! Is it water? Cracks? Good luck with it.
