It is a very strange story: This cat, another male, just showed up and acted as if he belonged to us. Once he managed to find his way inside, he went straight for the food in the kitchen and then to the litter box. He seemed to know exactly where everything was. Julius does not like him. The new cat is actually a sweet cat, but younger than Julius. We are still trying to find its owners, but have not been successful so far. We constantly get the two mixed up if we do not look closely.
Truly a doppelgänger to wander into your lives in such a strange manner! He is a very pretty cat, and does look very much like Julius! Poor Julius doesn't like having to share his space. I wish you luck trying to find the owner. I am curious!
He is very pretty, more delicate than Julius, who is definitely a farm cat. (We got him for free from a local organic farm.) Julius is probably too old to get used to a competitor. We put an ad into our college newsletter, but got no reply. We have been thinking to put up a note at the post office and the local church. People around here are not likely to abandon animals, so the whole story is a mystery. Even when this cat goes out, he always comes back right away and does not seem to like the outdoors much. Julius goes out several times per day and roams around, but this new one prefers the indoors. We wonder if it has been an indoor cat.
Das ist lustig. Ich wollte gerade fragen, ob es ein Männchen oder ein Weibchen ist und wie Julius sich mit der Katze versteht, sehe aber, dass du das schon oben beantwortet hast. Hoffentlich findet ihr die Besitzer. Ist jemand in eurer Nachbarschaft letztens fortgezogen? Vielleicht war es seine Katze und die wollte nicht fortziehen? Wir sind auch in den letzten Vorbereitungen für Weihnachten. Mache nur gerade eine kleine Pause. Ich habe dann nach Weihnachten hoffentlich Zeit all unsere Fotos hochzuladen. Nein, es ist niemand weggezogen. Unser Dorf ist ja auch so klein, jeder kennt jeden, eigentlich müßte man wissen, wenn eine Katze vermißt wird.
