I guess Jonathan is also trying to stay warm (maybe a long-sleeved shirt would help too) or he is practicing for a workshop he is leading tomorrow for all interested students at St. Vincent College, who want to try out ballet.
Jonathan versucht auch durch Bewegung sich warm zu halten (ein langärmliges Oberteil würde vielleicht auch helfen) oder er übt für einen Kurs, den er morgen abhalten wird: Alle interessierten Studenten bei St. Vincent können bei ihm Ballett machen.
Charlotte participated in a strengths finder course with other students organized by our church and the Catholic college club. She thought it was quite interesting.
Charlotte hat bei einem Kurs mit anderen Studenten mitgemacht, der von unserer Kirche und dem katholischen Club des Colleges organisiert worden ist. Es ging darum, seine Stärken zu finden, und das war ganz interessant.
It was too cold to go for a lantern walk. After all, today is St. Martin's Day. Maybe tomorrow?

After over 160 cases of the intestinal bug on campus, the number of cases has finally slowed down. They believe it was the Norovirus now.
Nach über 160 Fällen der schrecklichen Magen-Darmerkrankung beim College ist die Anzahl endlich weniger geworden. Sie glauben jetzt, daß es der Norovirus ist.
And today was another Nutcracker rehearsal. One of the other girls came over to our house after the rehearsal and spend some time with us.
Und heute gab es wieder eine Nußknackerprobe und eins der Mädchen war anschließend bei uns.

Hello Eva, It's so cold! I have not acclimated, and neither have our trees. The leaves on the branches were still green, but now they cover the ground.

They look pretty in their skirts and leotards. Julius and Flora are very sweet (but these cats of ours live quite the life!) xoxo
Yes, it is too cold, it kind of goes to your bones. All our tress have lost most of their leaves, even the magnolia tree, which was still green last week. Now we have to rake all the leaves.
DeleteFlora actually was not asleep, she had just closed her eyes while listening to the "Learnables" in French. Yes, Julius does not like to go outside these days. It is also too cold for him, but we still put him out for a short while every morning when everybody gets up. He comes back very quickly :).
Lustig, so ähnlich läuft es bei uns auch gerade ab: es hat heute auch geschneit (ein wenig), wir beschäftigen uns auch mit Wärmelehre, es war am Samstag ebenfalls zu kalt und zu stürmisch um unser Räbeliechtli (Laternenumzug) abzuhalten und statt Ballett sind es bei uns Konzertproben. Liebe Grüsse
ReplyDeleteDas ist lustig! Dann geht es auf zwei Kontinente ähnlich zu. Peter fliegt bald nach Deutschland mit einigen Studenten. Ich hoffe, daß es dann nicht zu kalt sein wird.
