Wild Swans/Wilde Schwäne

It is not a good picture, but this morning we saw Tundra swans flying over our house.  We have never ever seen them before like this.

There is a German song that fits beautiful with the swans flying north:

It was quite mild today, so mild that Flora decided to think about her arithmetic problems outside.

  2. That's very exciting to see the Tundra swans. Did they make a particular noise while flying? We would always see the geese flying by in September out on Montauk when we were there. They were always honking quite loud. The song is very pretty and it's nice to see Flora sitting in the sunshine, contemplating her math problems :)

    1. Yes, that is how we spotted them, sounded screaming children first. here is a link to the sound they make. We always see the geese here, there is a resting place close by, but the swans were different.

She had to think hard for her problems.
