Ballet: Flora/Ballett: Flora

By now you are probably tired of ballet pictures and videos and you are probably glad that there are "just" five children involved in this pastime. So here is Flora:

Also hier ist Flora:

We tried to get to church this morning, but on our way, Veronika coughed and then threw up. So I kept driving to church, which at this point was closer than home, dropped off the three older ones in the hope that some good soul would drive them home later (we know all the regular ones in that Mass and we knew that somebody could drive them back), and turned back home. Peter was able to come back briefly from campus to take care of Veronika while I cleaned the car! As I'm writing this, she is doing much better although she hasn't eaten anything so far. We are hoping to go to the German Christmas celebration at the Waldorf school tomorrow, so please, no more sick people!

  3. oh you poor dear!! that is one thing i don't miss about having the girls be little. we've had plenty of car accidents like that. morgana remembers one time actually being able to be sick into a bag and not all over herself or the seat. we had been on our way to a birthday party, and we're always remembering the time "morgana threw up in emma's gift bag." someone did manage to get the gifts out in time!

poor veronika, i hope she's better and no one else gets sick so you can enjoy your german christmas celebration. it sounds lovely!

well, i for one do not tire of your ballet pics and movies :) flora is a dear.

merry, merry christmas eva. enjoy the rest of this busy prep time!

    1. What a funny story about Morgana and the car ride. Did you go to the party after that or did you head home again? I used to get car sick a lot (and I still do somtimes), but none of my children does. So Veronika's sickness must have been a stomach virus. So far we are all healthy and I hope we will stay that way.

Thanks for your kind words about Flora. She does enjoy her class. On the parents' day she didn't have her usual teacher so everything was different for her. Her normal teacher does more creative movement than ballet. I prefer that for Flora's age group.

    2. i agree with you: creative movement for little ones, not ballet!!!! so glad to hear that about flora's teacher.

morgana was just car sick so we could continue to the party!

    3. Flora's teacher is acutally a high school student. She is also in Jonathan's and Charlotte's ballet group. She is very good with the littlest ones.

  4. Nein, wir sind noch nicht übersättigt. Kannst gerne noch mehr zeigen.

  5. Was für schöne Balletfotos.

  6. Poor baby! I heard this stomach flu is going around. I'm waiting to get it! I've dodged it for the past few years, so I figure it is time.

We aren't doing much...just hanging around home and crafting. We've also done quite a bit of purging. We cleared out the attic, closets, and garage. It's nice to have some room back again and know someone else will enjoy our donated stuff. It was a little hard...I let go of my son's little toddler bed. He is fifteen today. Sniff, sniff, a man almost.

    1. We have all kinds of bugs going around on campus, so I do hope they will stay there and not invade our house. So far the rest of us is healthy.

We are way too busy this Advent, too many activities, but after tomorrow, we'll stay put. I haven't done any baking so far and we are supposed to get a snowstorm on Friday when Peter wants to buy groceries and baking ingredients. So we'll see how our baking will turn out this year. Our Christmas gifts for family members are also still all here and need to find their way to the post office. Sigh, maybe tomorrow morning we'll be able to finish at least a few of them.

Happy Birthday to Jermey! Yes, 15 is not a child anymore. It must be hard to start giving toddler things away. I have kept everything so far, I have been hoping for one more child, but it doesn't look that this will happen anymore, I'll be 45 soon. So far we are still passing things down to sisters, but the day will come when I have to say good-bye to certain toys/pieces of clothing as well. That will probably also be sad. So sending you a hug of understanding!
