4th of July/4. Juli

We managed to get to church at 8:00 a.m., partly to escape the heat (there aren't many air-conditioned houses and buildings around here), partly to leave more time to prepare some food for a 4th of July party later on.  We spent a whole afternoon eating, chatting, playing games, and cooling off in a pool.  It was Flora's first time in a pool and she tried watermelon for the first time. 

Wir haben es geschafft, um 8:00 Uhr in die Kirche zu gehen, teils um der Hitze zu entkommen, teils um Essen für eine Party für den 4. Juli vorzubereiten.  Wir haben einen Nachmittag mit Essen, Unterhalten, Spielen und Schwimmen verbracht.  Flora war zum ersten Mal in einem Schwimm-becken und hat zum ersten Mal Wassermelone gegessen.
