St. Michael

St. Michael

The dragons which Flora formed are still cooling.

A holy card we got in church.

I have lots of pictures from Jonathan, who is still in Lithuania, then a few from some places I explored on my own yesterday, while Flora was at her birthday party at the Avon Inn in Avon, and Peter also took a few in the San Diego area.  Speaking of Peter, he is back home (took a night flight back home).  Maybe I can upload a few of those pictures here.  Veronika has settled into her apartment with four roommates, and they took a class picture today.  Can you spot her?

I hope to answer all your comments soon.  With Peter gone and my trips to ballet and the laundromat, there was no time to write here.

  1. So pleased that Veronika has settled in and yep I spotted her! Well done to Flora with the dragons 🙂. Pip had intended to make dragon bread and then the whole day was turned upside down. The exam board regraded her English paper and she went from an epic fail to a solid pass, in fact she jumped three grades, so no English resit needed!!! Such an answer to prayer and I know St Michael had a hand in it all - I’d been praying with Hallow the St Michael Lent and then the novena. Now we can enjoy this Year 12 homeschool xx

    1. Good that you found her! They have quite a large group of incoming students, about 120. We normally bake our special Michaelmas bread, but with only three people at home, we thought that it was better to just bake three dragons. We had them for breakfast today.
Congratulations to you and Pip! What a relief! Were the papers of the other students also regraded? Now both of you can be much more relaxed. Will you continue with the English tutor now? What is "Hallow the St. Michael Lent"?

    2. We won’t continue with the English but she does have a maths tutor on a Thursday as she’s working towards her A level maths. From what I can gather there have been several regrades right across the country.

Hallow is the Catholic app that I have on my phone, it offers the daily prayers, rosary as well as music, audiobooks ( I’m currently listening to the ‘story of a soul’) and novenas and prayer devotionals. St Michael’s Lent was a devotional that used to be popular in the church, it was an opportunity to learn more about the lives of the saints, St Michael and grow in virtue, culminating in a novena leading up to his feast day. Hallow has and continues to be such a blessing to me xx

  2. Die Drachen sind aber schnuckelig geworden! Und sehen auch sehr lecker aus.
