Rooftop Garden/Dachgarten

After Flora's violin lesson on Thursday, we had lunch with Peter, and then Flora and I explored The Garden at 120

You have a splendid view from up.

Not sure what they are doing around All Hallows Staining Church Tower down there.  We walked around here in 2019, but now all is torn up.

After coming down again, we had a cup of coffee/tea and went on to the Steiner House to browse their books in the bookstore and also meet Veronika there.  Whenever I am in London, I come here to see if there are new interesting Waldorf education books.  I ended up buying two: The Remarkable Story of Paul the Apostle (paid link) by Siegwart Knijpenga.  I really like his book about saints (paid link) and have used it in grade 2 with all children.  So now I have a book for older children by him.  The other book is Form Drawing and Colouring.  I love Angela Lord's work.

And then we walked to Camden Town through Regent's Park.

  1. What a lovely day and what could they be doing to All Hallows?! The garden has an amazing view and looks very nice. How fun for Veronika to be going a dance intensive :)

    1. They are building a new skyscraper I found out. Supposedly All Hallows will still be visible.

    3. Yes, that will be interesting to see. In three years it will be our turn to go to London again. I can take a picture again.

  2. P.S. I love the books you chose at the Steiner House (another great place to visit!) and am impressed if you can work in the form drawing book. Did Veronika enjoy her ballet intensive? It looked wonderful.

    1. Yes, it is a lovely bookstore. The form drawing books have been around for a while and they are meant to be used as workbooks. I think this is a good idea. She did enjoy it and it was a good level for her. Charlotte already took their intensives.
