A few weeks ago, the Chelsea Physic Garden offered very cheap tickets and so we bought them. It is the oldest botanical garden in London.
Vor einigen Wochen hat der botanische Garten in Chelsea ermäßigte Eintrittskarten angeboten und da haben wir sie sofort gekauft. Dieser Garten ist der älteste in London. Er stammt von 1673.
Willam Forsythe, who gave his name to the forsythia, was gardener here.
Willam Forsythe, nach dem Forsythien benannt sind, war hier Gärtner.
They have plants from all over the world.

Agatha Christie hat hier eine Ausbildung in Heilpflanzen gemacht. Auch tödlich giftige Pflanzen hat sie hier kennengelernt.

On the way home we stopped at John Sandoe books to show to Peter because he had never been here.
Auf dem Rückweg haben wir Peter den Johan Sandoe Buchladen gezeigt, weil er hier noch nie gewesen war.
This is nice to see! I remember walking by the garden along the river with Korrina when we were returning to our airbnb after visiting a yarn store and chip shop in Pimlico. We've also been to that Paul's pastry shop by the John Sandoe bookstore, but sadly missed browsing the books!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pretty garden! The French chain Paul? They have good coffee. John Sandoe is so fascinating, but a bit disorganized. They have a wonderful children's section.
