Gardening/Gärtnern

Charlotte, Miriam, Veronika, and Flora have been planting different vegetables in our community garden bed.  Jonathan got a job mowing a huge lawn, so he does not have much time for gardening this summer.

  1. It is lovely to look at your gang growing and yet still enjoying the simple things year on year. Well done to J for finding summer employment, he has a good work ethic, in fact they all do x

    1. `Well, we are working on his work ethic :). He does take his responsibilities serious, that is true. Yes, I am glad that they still all enjoy the simple pleasures out in the country.

  4. what a beautiful garden bed. did you grow the veggies from seeds on your windowsill? is it a long walk to the community garden? or do you drive?

they look like happy farmers :) kudos to jonathan and his work ethic ;)

    1. Some are from seeds, but many are plants. We found them at our local grocery store :). We cannot really walk because the old road up to the college farm is not really a road anymore. The college farm is the equestrian center now and the community garden is close by. It is actually not far from us if that road were open, just up the hill. But since it is closed, we have to drive through town down the hill and up the hill from the other side to get there. It is kind of annoying because you do need a car to get there and there is no good place to park.
