Kentish Town

Yesterday, Flora and I did an excursion to Kentish Town because that was not too far from our house and we were able to do some grocery shopping at the same time. Peter was at the British Library working and Veronika was downtown, taking a ballet class.

Gestern haben Flora und ich einen Ausflug nach Kentish Town gemacht, weil das nicht so weit von uns aus war und wir auch ein paar Lebensmittel einkaufen wollten.  Peter hat in der Britischen Bibliothek gearbeitet und Veronika hat Ballett in der Innenstadt gemacht.  

We stopped at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St Andrew the Apostle.

Wir haben auch bei der griechisch-orthodoxen Kathedrale des Apostels Andreas reingeschaut.

Our last stop before getting some groceries was the Owl Bookshop.  Flora bought two books:  A Tale of Two Cities (paid link), which she will read for her CenterforLit class, and The Dark Is Rising.

Bevor wir dann einkaufen waren, haben wir noch in einen Buchladen geschaut. Dort hat sich Flora Eine Geschichte aus zwei Städten (sie muß das für ihren online Literaturkurs lesen) und Wintersonnenwende.

Today, the girls went to the library while I was teaching my German class online.  The librarian recognized them immediately and handed them a birding book we had reserved.  In the late afternoon, Flora had her CenterforLit class about The Hobbit.  

Heute waren die Mädchen in der Bücherei, als ich Deutsch unterrichtet habe (online). Die Bibliothekarin hat sie gleich erkannt und ihnen ein Vogelbuch ausgehändigt, das reserviert hatten.  Sie brauchten gar nicht ihren Namen zu sahen.  Am Spätnachmittag hatte Flora dann ihren Literaturkurs, wo sie den Hobbit besprochen haben.
