I am trying! I am going through all our homeschool books, which is a very dusty and ambitious project. Today, I had to drive to Olean with Peter (he drove a rental car) to return that car and I also had to cook a soup for church to serve before the Stations of the Cross. Veronika and Peter visited family in Ohio and looked at a college. And Flora has rehearsals at the Academy every day for their play on Friday and Saturday. There is also ballet and art . . .
Oh, yes, it sounds more like a catch up break. I'm sure the soup was delicious and much appreciated and I hope Veronika enjoyed visiting the college. Good luck to Flora with the play :) xoxo (and to you with all the homeschool books . . I know what that's like . . !)
I made good progress with the books, but am not finished. The soup was good. An older man came up to me and thought it was so wonderful. It was a small Catholic college and she liked it. She still wants to see a few more, though. Flora's play went well, but I did not get to see it because I was not feeling well. Charlotte and Veronika went.
Oh, I hope you are soon feeling better. I've started taking vitamin C again as I seem to be gettnig sick more often lately . . How nice that you received a compliment on your soup :) and I think it must be fun and interesting to visit different colleges. Good wishes to Veronika with her search.
I feel much better. Now Veronika is not feeling well. I don't do well with Vitamin C. It is too acidic for my stomach. Veronika visited Ursuline College, a Catholic school close to Cleveland. They were all very nice and friendly there. She still wants to see some place in Chicago and maybe one in Boston (cannot remember the name) and one in Pennsylvania.
It's great that she has specific places to visit and shows she's thinking carefully of what would be good for her. I hope she is feeling better soon and glad you are. That is interesting about the Vitamin C and understandable. xoxo
I know you can buy buffered vitamin C, but I don't think that makes a difference. Veronika is feeling better, but now I am losing my voice. Maybe I am doing too much talking/reading/teaching? Peter's voice was also gone when he had his cold, but I thought I would not get that part of his cold because I never had the sinus problems he got. It is not Covid what we have, just a strange cold/flu bug.
Enjoy your break Eva :)
