Spend time in your favorite places watching birds–then tell us about them! In as little as 15 minutes notice the birds around you. Identify them, count them, and submit them to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world. If you already use eBird or Merlin, your submissions over the 4 days count towards GBBC.
Dieses Wochenende findet das große Vogelzählen hier in Amerika statt. Man kann auch in anderen Ländern zählen. Die Vögel gibt man bei eBird ein, wo es auch eine Beschreibung auf Deutsch gibt, wenn man unten auf der Seite guckt. Wir machen das schon seit ca. 20 Jahren.

Wieder Schnee!
We have zero birds in our back garden thanks to the resident cats! There is Poppy our own cat, then Milton next door, Milo next door but one and Oreo after that 🤪. Dave really misses the birds as we had plenty in the old house and enjoyed watching them from the conservatory. Leo is being a good boy watching and not chasing 🩷
ReplyDeleteHow sad! We also have cats in the neighborhood, but we still have birds. I think that Leo would chase the birds if we let him, though.
DeleteI love your bird feeder. We've had snow again also, and I've only heard the little brown house sparrows chattering these past few days. A few weeks ago I heard Cardinals and Robins . . Leo is being very good :)
ReplyDeleteIt has served us well. I think we got it at Aldi's! Funny, we are not getting many sparrows right now. Leo does not try to jump against the window to get the birds, which surprises me.
