Flora is waiting for the tooth fairy to come. She takes her tooth with her wherever she goes. Here she built herself a desk and put her eraser and tooth (in wooden container) there as well.
The bigger children attended some events with the author Gary Schmidt this weekend. I have never read anything by him, but the children have and like him. He is a great story-teller. Peter said he has written a beautiful book on Martin de Porres. They had it for sale there, but unfortunately, Peter didn't have enough money with him.
I have my kitchen back!!! What a relief, life without a functioning kitchen is not easy. Look what I made for breakfast for tomorrow morning :). Do you think I got carried away?
I really liked Father Barron's Lent reflection for today. Take a look at the saint name generator he recommends: very neat.
Breakfast muffins a well deserved treat for you all! Hope the Fairy turned up for Flora, Pip is about to lose her third tooth in order to allow room for the second big tooth that is growing behind it!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
San xx
The fairy brought a little note book. Flora "writes" in it a lot. The third tooth!! She is really trying to hurry, isn't she?
DeleteFlora is very sweet :) I liked the saint name generator too. It's good the children were able to listen to a good storyteller! We always enjoy that.
ReplyDeleteThe muffins look delicious! Do you use a gluten free flour mix, or just almond flour?
You know I did the saint name generator. While I was praying as suggested I thought to myself that I would probably get St. Ignatius of Loyola. I thought he would be a good and very challenging saint for me. When I clicked, I saw exactly what I had thought: his name! I thought that was truly amazing.
DeleteI baked gluten-free muffins and almond flour chocolate chip scones. I really like Elana's recipe for those. I think they are called orange white chocolate cranberry scones. I have changed the original recipe quite a bit, using dates or raisins and orange juice concentrate instead of the orange zest. I also use dark chocolate and not white. They are still really good with butter. I mix my own gluten free flour. It is so much cheaper and you know what is in it.
