Minivan Cleaning and Latin/Kleinbusputzen und Latein

Lingua Latina: Pars I: Familia Romana (Pt. 1) (Latin Edition)Getting Started with Latin: Beginning Latin for Homeschoolers and Self-Taught Students of Any AgeThe First Year of LatinI didn't take any pictures today, somehow the day just slipped by.  We went to early Mass, to the library, to the grocery store, and back home.  On Tuesdays everybody works independently in textbooks for the subjects vocabulary, handwriting, history, science, and geography.  I use the time to tackle some major household project.  Today I took all the car seats out of our van, washed the covers, and vacuumed and dusted the van.  I still have to clean the car seats tomorrow.  Then they will go back into the van.  The children have requested new assigned seats.  We'll see what we can do.  In the afternoon we had reading time, Latin or German, and French.  Jonathan is working his way through The First Year of Latin with the free online Linney's Latin Classes.  Charlotte will be finished with Linney's Getting Started with Latin soon.  We are also using German/Latin flashcards for vocabulary building.  We like to start our Latin time with Latin prayers and parts of the Latin Mass taken from the Adoremus Hymnal CD's.  On Thursdays, Jonathan spends time with Lingua Latina.  So now it's late, I'm tired from cleaning and ironing and will go to bed!  One last sweet tidbit about Flora.  She asked for a cup of diluted apple cider.  After I had given it to her, she put it on my dining-room chair, knelt down, made the sign of the cross, said a "Hail Mary," and made another sign of the cross.  I had never heard her say a "Hail Mary" by herself.

Jonathan arbeitet im Moment in The First Year of Latin mit Hilfe der kostenlosen Vorlesungen von Linney's Latin Class.

  3. Thank you, Dorina. Cleaning windows for us would be a week long project and would require long ladders. How do you clean your windows from the outside?
