In the evening, we walked onto campus because Peter and I had to do some work there. The students had their evening devotions.
Abends sind wir dann auf den Campus gegangen, weil Peter und ich dort etwas arbeiten mußten. Die Studenten hatten gerade Abendandacht.

ReplyDeleteIt was! Oh, we did not attend the funeral on Saturday. I just baked a cake for the family. Joy's funeral is on Wednesday. Mr. J. has already left again. He came home to drop off his car. He will be flying to Europe for some traveling, including visiting my parents. It is cheaper for him to have the car here at home instead of paying the high parking fees in D.C. Yes, today was extremely busy because Peter had to drive Jonathan to the airport in Pennsylvania after teaching his 8:00 a.m. class. In the evening he drove Flora to ballet. I taught German, and did the regular homeschool subjects. We have a frost warning tonight, and the girls just covered all their plants. Crazy to have a frost warning in September!

Wie lecker! Ich war vor ein paar Tagen mit meiner Schwester zusammen Zwetschgen pflücken in einer verlassenen Plantage hier vor Ort. Da hängen so viele Früchte dran und niemand erntet sie - wir hatten nachher so viele Zwetschgen ... und haben noch einige verschenkt. Pflaumenkuchen habe ich aber noch nicht gebacken davon.
