Peter, Flora, and I are sharing a really bad cold right now. It started late Sunday. But all of London seems to be sick. There is a lot of coughing and sneezing all over the place.
Peter, Flora und ich haben seit Sonntag abend eine schlimme Erkältung. Ganz London ist aber krank, überall niest es und hustet es.
We had thought of going to church for Candlemas today, but that was not meant to be because of the colds. They do have nice candle processions here for this day.
Wir hatten eigentlich vor, heute für Mariä Lichtmeß in die Kirche zu gehen. Das wird hier sogar mit Kerzenprozessionen gefeiert, aber leider ging das wegen der Erkältung dann nicht.
Pip made church with our homeschool friends in Liverpool and they processed around the church. I was away on a quiet day and spent part of my day in silence gazing at the Lakeland fells :-). We have so far avoided colds but have a very mild tummy bug, feeling nauseous and just generally "off." Hope you are soon feeling much improved xx 😘
ReplyDeleteWonderful! That was probably very moving for her. Tummy bugs are not nice either, I am glad that the one we had our first week here is over now. Our colds are finally over. I hope you are also well again.

ReplyDeleteMiriam says "Thanks." No sunshine today, but the Ocado man thought the weather was splendid because it was not raining :). All colds are gone. Now I have to take care of my tooth. I did find a German dentist I am going to try.
DeleteGeht es Euch wieder besser? Hier um uns herum schnupft und hustet es auch überall. Wir haben es zum Glück aber bisher noch nicht abbekommen. Wie lange bleibt Ihr noch in London? Eure Bilder sehen toll aus, danke dafür!
ReplyDeleteJa, wir sind wieder gesund und es bisher auch gelieben. Heute in der Kirche hat der Pfarrer aber sehr gehustet. Es ist aber auch wirklich kalt hier. Wir bleiben noch bis Ende April hier.
