Sebastian's Garden/Sebastians Garten

Named after Father Sebastian, this little garden was a spot Miriam and Charlotte found during their exploration of the campus of St. Vincent College.  Jonathan, Peter, Miriam, and Charlotte left yesterday to tour the college.  Jonathan had an interview with Admissions and also sat in on classes.  Peter and Jonathan had dinner with some of the faculty of the Political Science Department.  They also met the honor's program director and a theology professor.  They had hoped to also talk to the German professor, but he was not in his office today.  Miriam and Charlotte were on their own most of the time because Peter went with Jonathan.  So they did explore the whole campus: They went to the dining-hall, to Mass on All Souls' Day, went to an art gallery, explored the cemetery, which is the largest Benedictine cemetery in the U.S., and even managed to find somebody who opened an old water tower for them because they wanted to see it from inside!  They just got back and Miriam has taken some more pictures, but I have not seen them because it is quite late.  Time for bed.

Dieser Garten ist nach Pfarrer Sebastian benannt worden und Miriam und Charlotte haben ihn bei ihren Erkundungen des Geländes von St. Vincent College entdeckt.  Jonathan, Miriam, Peter und Charlotte sind gestern früh zu St. Vincent College gefahren.  Jonathan hatte ein Interview mit einem Herrn von dem Zulassungsbüro, er hat sich auch Seminare angesehen und sich mit Professoren getroffen.  Mit Peter hat er zusammen mit einigen Professoren der Politikwissenschaft zu Abend gegessen, während Miriam und Charlotte die Mensa ausprobiert haben.  Da Peter fast immer mit Jonathan zusammen war, konnten Miriam und Charlotte viel mehr sehen: Sie waren bei einer Allerseelenmesse, haben den Friedhof sich angeschaut, der der größte Benediktinerfriedhof in Amerika ist, waren in einer Kunstgallerie und haben sogar einen jungen Mann gefunden, der ihnen einen alten Waserturm aufgeschlossen hat.  Sie waren beide neugierig, wie er wohl von innen aussah.  Alle sind eben nach Hause gekommen.  Miriam hat wohl viele Fotos gemacht, aber die habe ich noch nicht gesehen.  Es ist aber ja auch schon sehr spät und wir müssen schlafen.
