Summer Read Alouds/Sommervorleselektüre

We are not doing very much these days because it is too hot!  Only at night, when it cools down, we get out some read alouds and I thought I would share what we are doing right now.  We have several books going:

Here is an abridged audio version.  Hier ist eine verkürzte Audioversion.

  • Tirzah, mainly for Miriam, a living book about the Israelites leaving Egypt

It's our 16th German wedding anniversary today.  Peter spent this day with three of our wedding guests: my father, my mother, and my great-uncle in Switzerland!

Happy Anniversary, my Love!

    1. Thank you! I thought it was so funny, that Peter was celebrating the day with a few of our original wedding guests! We got married "twice," once in the Lutheran church in Indiana (that counted as the civil ceremony in Germany, where you first have to have a civil ceremony and then you may have a church ceremony), and then in the Catholic church in Germany. Peter's relatives for the most part remember the American wedding and the German relatives the German one.

A little over a week, then we will drive to the airport (Horror: ten lanes at one point I think!) to pick him up.
