Rochester-Boston-Manchester

Mohawk River/Fluß

Miriam is taking the train to Boston.  In Boston, she has to take the bus to Londonderry in New Hampshire.  There, one of her friends will pick her up to go to Manchester.  She has a job interview there tomorrow and is going to spend some days with her friends from college.

    1. She thought it went well, now we have to wait and see what they say.

    2. Ah, they did not offer her the job. They liked her, but thought she was lacking some financial and computer background. Now we have to look for other opportunities.

    3. (sigh) I'm sorry to hear that. I always think, well, let the person try the job and learn! However, I'm sure other opportunities will present themselves. Job hunting is not easy, especially these days. I will keep thinking positive thoughts for Miriam, along with Chanda who is also looking for something in her field.

    4. Yes, we should not give up, and I do think they should give young people an opportunity to learn! The problem around here is that there are basically no jobs, unless you want to go and cut trees or something like that. All Miriam's application are not local applications. She has applied all over the U.S. Good luck to Chanda as well! I read somewhere that last year was the bleakest job market for people just receiving their B.A.
