We walked around before Flora started her full day of classes and events.

After an acting class, we went to Mass where Veronika joined us.
Nach einem Schauspielseminar sind wir zu Messe gegangen, wo uns Veronika getroffen hat.
The Norbertines were on campus and offered many religious oppoturnities today.
Die Norbertiner waren heute bei der Uni, und es gab viele religiöse Angebote.
Veronika had a class in the afternoon, and Peter and I accompanied Flora to a Shakespeare play rehearsal class, a class in graphic design, and a class in English literature/humanities. We were going to go to a theology class, but ran out of time. Peter and I also had an informal session with the president and some other parents. It was a full day, but interesting and fun.
Veronika hatte ein Nachmittagsseminar und Peter und ich sind mit Flora zu einer Shakespeareprobe gegangen, dann zu einem Seminar in Grafikdesign und einem Seminar zur englischen Literatur/Geschichte. Wir wollten noch zu einem Theologikurs gehen, aber es gab keine Zeit mehr. Peter und ich haben uns auch mit dem Unipräsidenten und anderen Eltern getroffen. Es war ein voller, aber anregender Tag.
Driving and walking around here, almost feels like we have never left. But our last long visit was 10 years ago!
Wenn wir hier herumfahren und herumgehen, hat man das Gefühl, daß wir erst neulich hier waren, doch liegt unser letzter längerer Besuch auch schon zehn Jahre zurück.

ReplyDeleteEmma and Sr Patricia left for the airport at 5:00am this morning. Dave and I were up to wave them off and even Pip stirred in her sleep to give Em a hug. It is always so painful saying goodbye as we do not know when we will see her again. However her mission here was to be with my mum and pray with her and for her.
Mum is currently still hanging on but she now has acute kidney failure, so her body is shutting down. I just pray that she won’t linger and suffer.
When I told Em about your kids and all the different paths they’ve taken her first words were ‘ university in America is crazy expensive!’ The Home has quite a few American sisters. I’m impressed with University days and the fact that Flora was able to attend different classes 🙂. I’m also sure that being in the warmth will make a welcome change from all the snow!
