Main Lesson Work/Hauptepochenarbeit

Charlotte drew a landscape that is now waiting for the railroad to be built:

Miriam started a new main lesson on nature studies.  This time we're discussing birds.  We read about the robin and the bluebird in Thornton Burgess' book The Burgess Bird Book for Children.  She also drew a bluebird and copied some sentences about him.

Veronika and I read The Big Green Pocketbook.  The children also did lots of playing in the snow and mud outside today. 

   

 

 

Jonathan hat sein Bild des Toreador Freskos fertiggemalt.  Charlotte hat eine Landschaft gestaltet, die darauf wartet, daß die Gleisverleger kommen.  Miriam hat eine neue Hauptepoche in Sachkunde angefangen.  Diesmal machen wir Vögel.  Wir haben über das amerikanische Rotkehlchen und den Rotkehlhüttensänger etwas bei Thornton Burgess nachgelesen.  Dann hat Miriam einen Rotkehhüttensänger gemalt und einen kurzen Text dazu geschrieben.  Veronika und ich haben The Big Green Pocketbook gelesen.  Es gab auch viel Spiel im Schnee und Matsch.
