Palm Sunday/Palmsonntag

We had a small procession today in church. We also know of a nice custom of weaving the palm branches into crosses. Here are instructions:

We also went back to the sugar shack to see the process of making sap into maple syrup. This Sunday they were actually making syrup!

I also worked on Veronika's doll. The first part of the head is now finished.

Heute hatten wir einen kleine Palmsonntagsprozession in der Kirche. Es gibt hier einen schönen Brauch, den Palmzweig in ein Kreuz zu weben. Oben ist die Anleitung. Wir sind auch wieder zurück zur Ahornsiruphütte gefahren, wo heute wirklich Sirup aus Ahornsaft gemacht wurde. Ich habe dann später weiter an Veronikas Puppe gearbeitet. Die erste Stufe des Kopfes ist fast fertig. Dann sind oben noch die versprochenen Fotos von dem Kinderzimmer. Jonathan bastelt im Moment leidenschaftlich Papierflieger. Eins davon ist oben zu sehen.
