Ich habe einen neuen Bügelbrettbezug, der ein sehr hübsches blau-grün ist. Leider kann man das auf dem Foto nicht gut sehen.
Flora hat sich nach ihrem online Französischkurs mit einer Erkältung ins Bett gelegt. So hatte ich Zeit während unserer geplanten Unterrichtszeit ein bißchen zu bügeln.

What else? Veronika tutored one of my German students today. I had a Zoom call with the honorary consul about my passport. It is already in NYC, but has to make its way to Western New York. I also prepared an exam for German 103.
Was noch? Veronika hat mit einem meiner Deutschstudenten gearbeitet. Ich habe mit dem Honorarkonsul über meinen Paß "gezoomt". Der Paß ist in der Stadt New York, doch muß er noch seinen Weg hier in den Westen des Staates finden. Dann habe ich auch noch eine Deutschklausur für meine fortgeschrittenen Studenten vorbereitet.

ReplyDeleteWith three girls home plus Peter's shirts, we always have so much ironing to do! Flora was actually feeling worse, and the rest of us got a milder version of her bug. But we do hope we will all feel be better tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteYes, Amazon. My ironing board is from Brabantia, so this is a Brabantia cover. I have been happy with the ironing board and covers. I always get the sets. There are different sizes, mine is a C. I guess you have to make sure that their covers fit your ironing board.
DeleteAh! Thanks for the cover tips! I'll do some measuring and then check online. I hope Flora is feeling a little better. I've been a bit achy and tired . . I think because of the change in weather. I'm not used to the chilly air and feeling cold!
DeleteBrabantia has a "store" on Amazon with good info. Flora was feeling better today. Many of our students on campus have gotten sick with this cold. Yes, it gets quite cold at night!
DeleteThe change of the weather can cause everyone to get sick. I felt fine yesterday, but am feeling tired and achy again today. We're in the middle rain and wind now too, and it's supposed to get bad again tonight.

DeleteI am well now, and everything in our area has been cleared and repaired, but I'm not sure about the coastal areas which were hit much harder.
DeleteI think it is bizarre that we did not get this at all. I am glad you have recovered. I read somewhere that the whole sewage system in NYC needs to be overhauled because it is too old.
DeleteYes, I read that too . . because when it rains so heavily, the water doesn't drain quickly enough and mixes with the sewage pipes. Maintenance is ongoing and money must be allocated for that . . but of course that doesn't happen.
DeleteIch habe ja in den letzten Jahren so viel Probleme beim Bügeln, mehr als zwei bis drei Teile schaffe ich nie. Charly trägt gerne Hemden, da fällt also immer reichlich an.

Oh je, zu anstrengend? Ich bügle meistens eine halbe Stunde, wenn ich eine Woche überspringe, muß ich eine Stunde bügeln. Peter braucht Hemden, aber besonders Flora und Miriam tragen gerne Blusen und Röcke. Die muß man natürlich auch meist bügeln. Flora ging es heute zum ersten Mal wieder besser.
DeleteDurch meine Fibromyalgie und meine Wirbelsäulenverkrümmung tut mir schon nach zehn Minuten alles weh.
DeleteAh, das ist natürlich dumm. Mir tun nach einer Stunde die Beine vom langen Stehen weh.

DeleteJein. Es ist alles sehr schwierig, hinfahren, vorher und nachher umziehen. Und die Umkleide ist in unserem Schwimmbad nicht gerade praktisch.
DeleteJa, wenn das Bad nicht vor der Tür liegt, ist das umständlich. Wir haben zu Hause bei meinen Eltern ein tolles Schwimmbad, so etwas gibt es hier leider nicht.
DeleteNa ja, die Fahrt dahin geht schon, aber es ist wirklich total schwierig, sich umzuziehen und seine Sachen einigermaßen trocken zu lagern.
