It is too hot for Leo; he is resting on the floor. He had his annual vet visit yesterday and did not like it.
Es ist für Leo zu heiß; er ruht sich auf dem Boden aus. Gestern hatte er seinen Tierarztbesuch, der einmal im Jahr stattfindet. Das hat ihm gar nicht gefallen.

- Ich habe angefangen, meine Unterrichtspläne für das neue Schuljahr für Flora in ein neues Planungsbuch zu schreiben.
- Jonathan is interning at a law firm in D.C. before his real job starts with a different firm in the fall.
- Jonathan macht ein Praktikum bei einer Anwaltskanzlei in Washington, bevor er im Herbst mit seiner richtigen Stelle bei einer anderen Kanzlei anfängt.
- Charlotte is enjoying her last days in NY before heading back to Denver later this week.
- Charlotte genießt ihre letzten Tage in New York. Ende der Woche muß sie nach Denver zurück.
- Miriam is still working at our bookstore.
- Miriam arbeitet weiterhin fast täglich im Buchladen.
- Veronika is cleaning and reorganizing bookshelves upstairs. She is such a good worker!
- Veronika putzt und organisiert Bücherregale in der oberen Etage. Sie ist sehr fleißig und macht gute Fortschritte.
- Flora is attending a theater camp in a different county and is loving it.
- Flora nimmt an einem Theaterferienlager in einem anderen Landkreis teil und findet es sehr gut.
It must be lovely to have all four girls in the kitchen, just like the old days! When does Miriam return to Austria? I hope Johnathan's internship is going well. It must interesting planning for just one homeschool student this year xxx
ReplyDeleteThey are having so much fun! They baked a cake today, and now they are painting rocks. Charlotte is going back to Denver tomorrow. Miriam is not returning to Austria. She is finishing her degree at Thomas More in New Hampshire. Yes, planning for just one student is like when I started out with Jonathan.
DeleteMiriam has certainly had an eventful round of degree studies and at least now she is a lot nearer to home 😊 xxx
DeleteYes, or you could say, like my father-in-law said, she does not like to stay in one place for too long :). Yes, the back-and-forth trip to NH will be easier and cheaper than going to Austria! She will miss my family, she already said so, but if she had gone back to ITI, she would have missed her old Magdalen friends.
DeleteHello Eva, I agree, it's lovely to see the girls together - baking and working on art projects. You must be enjoying it :) Veronika is like Morgana: organizing and setting one's world to rights! Does Miriam have friends at Thomas More, and a specific degree major idea? It'll be nice having her closer to home and New Hampshire is such a pretty state.
ReplyDeleteThey were having so much fun, and it was hard for them to have Charlotte leave again. Miriam is just finishing up her general liberal arts degree. All her colleges had no majors. She has lots of Magdalen College friends, who went to Thomas More after Magdalen had closed. I think she would like to be with her old friends again.
