Miriam, Flora and I attended this church this morning. Peter is in Pennsylvania on a retreat about the liturgy of the hours.
Miriam, Flora und ich waren heute morgen hier in der Kirche. Peter ist im Moment in Pennsylvania in einem Exerzitienhaus. Sie veranstalten dort ein Wochenende, um das Stundengebet näher kennenzulernen.
After lunch, I took the two girls for a walk around Moss Lake.
Nach dem Mittagessen bin ich mit den beiden Mädchen zu Moss Lake gefahren, wo wir spazieren gegangen sind.

Miriam baked a blueberry cake for today.
Miriam hat einen Blaubeerkuchen für heute gebacken.
Last Sunday, we had a Swabian pear cake, baked by Veronika.
Letzten Sonntag hat uns Veronika einen leckeren schwäbischen Birnenkuchen gebacken.
And the Sunday before that she baked a Germna plum cake.
Und am Sonntag davor hat sie einen deutschen Pflaumenkuchen gebacken.
And Jonathan passed his Virginia motorcycle license today 👏🏍.
Und Jonathan hat heute den Motorradführerschein in Virginia bestanden 👏🏍.
Lovely walk and yummy Sunday cakes. Those Altar linens will be beautiful 💕. Well done to Mr J in passing his bike test.
ReplyDeleteThings are more bonkers over here. There were more college fiascos for Pip which has necessitated a three day 70 minute commute over the border into Yorkshire 🤪. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we have 5am alarm calls which are interesting 😂. The college however is excellent as is the course. Hoping to post soon xx

DeleteI do the driving and Dave is back up driver if needed. I won’t lie it’s a massive challenge and it does affect my health but so far by God’s grace I manage moment by moment. Craven College are very supportive and they know that there might be times we won’t make it in because of the weather or we might have to finish early because of health issues.
DeleteI was very disappointed with the local Catholic college as she had several interviews, did a taster day and although she was short of the official number of GCSEs we were told they would look at her case favourably because of the complex health issues that she has, but when the chips were down this was not the case.
Today is our last commute day for this week and thanks be to God it is a 1/2 day so we should be home just after 1pm.

That is wonderful that you are able to do the driving. So you have to apply to those colleges? Do they lead to the A-levels? I have always found the British school system very confusing. Enjoy your weekend!

ReplyDeleteDie Gegend sieht fast aus wie bei uns, wir haben ja auch jede Menge Moor.
Danke schön! Aber ein eigenes Motorrad hat er nicht, er denkt er braucht auch mehr Übung. Stimmt, bei meinen Eltern ist ja auch das Teufelsmoor. Hier liegt das Moor nur höher als die Moorlandschaften um Bremen herum liegen. Das wirkt schon anders.
