86 Degrees Indoors/30 Grad drinnen

I had to iron today even though it was 86 degrees inside (it was hotter outside) -- Peter was in need of some shirts and pants.  It was too hot to really study so we just took it easy.  The children found a great spider (wolf spider?) outside.

  2. hello eva, it's very hot here also. we're not accustomed to it (again) so we're all a bit uncomfortable, especially our two oldest in the apartment: jack and xena. we needed to get some work done yesterday, as we've had too many dance rehearsal days. it was not easy, but morgana and chanda ran out finally at 5 pm to run through the sprinklers at the park. they were very happy to have the water be so cold. they came home with cool feeling skin and a nice cold and wet towel. i buried my face in it and enjoyed the coolness. i had stayed home to try re-dyeing chanda's modern dance costume. it needed to be a little darker. we both did hot things! i also need to iron :) i have a bag of items sitting next to me right now. take care today. i think we have a few more days to go before it gets a little cooler for us.

  3. Poor Jack and Xena! Julius was also very listless today. Normally he is gone all day long in the summer, but today he stayed close to the house and slept a lot.

The children begged me to drive to the nearby lake today, but Peter is getting ready for his Switzerland trip so there was no chance to do anything like that. Maybe we should get a sprinkler! My parents always had one and my siblings and I plus the whole neighborhood (sometimes 20 children) enjoyed it in the summer.

Dyeing sounds very hot also. Did the color work out? I'm almost done with my ironing. We had a big storm today so it cooled down a bit and is supposed to stay cooler! I hope it will reach you also.
