The three of us had a cozy supper tonight.
Our clematis is very pretty this year.
Unsere Klematis blüht dieses Jahr ganz toll.
Picture book of the day:
Bilderbuch des Tages:
Big Enough: Little Ah-Fu has a big imagination, but he can’t imagine being the Oxherd Boy . . . yet.
When the day comes for Ah-Fu to bring the huge family ox home from the woods, he worries that he’s not big enough to do the job.
Will fear and self-doubt drive Ah-Fu home empty-handed? Or can he rely on his wits and compassion to become the Oxherd Boy his family expects—and prove to himself that he is, indeed, big enough?
Delightfully paired with exquisite illustrations, this empowering story inspired by traditional Chinese philosophy shows kids big and small how to trust themselves and embrace what they can be. (paid link)
Ah so much good stuff going on and its always a joy to pop by and say hello 😊. Your lovely birthday card and gift arrived and it is really appreciated ❤️. I think out of all your recent photos the one of Leo is totally hilarious and you captured the moment beautifully!! Jonathan's new journey is quite momentous and I've no doubt he will do really well in his chosen field. We are plodding along at this end but we've had some milestones and good things happening which I really should share on my abandoned blog 😂 Hoping to put up a post at some point, love San xx
ReplyDeleteThat took a long time to get to you! After I had sent it, I was wondering if you actually own a microwave . . . Charlotte took that photo. Leo is still with her, but she will bring him back later this month. Jonathan has settled into his first real apartment. Peter helped him to set it up although there are still some pieces of clothing Jonathan has to put away. Now Peter is back home, and Jonathan has a few more weeks before he takes the bar exam. I will look forward to you post!
DeleteIt's so nice to have dinner outside in the summer. I remember many meals on our back screened in porch with my parents. Very peaceful!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like eating outside unless there are mosquitoes. It must have been very cozy sitting on your parents' porch.
DeleteYes, :) Such nice memories.
