Our day started out with an early morning swim.
Früh am Morgen waren wir im Schwimmbad des Hotels.
Then we drove to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue. We have visited here several times and I have posted about it. It is such a peaceful place.
Dann sind wir zum dem Sorrowful Mother Shrine gefahren, der von einem Schweizer Pater gegründet worden ist: Franz Sales Brunner. Wir sind schon öfter hier gewesen, und ich habe auch davon berichtet. Es ist ein sehr schöner Schrein.

Miriam's outfit matched the little chapel.

There are lots of German plaques.
Es gibt viele deutsche Plaketten.
And here the girls are playing "Sorry!" with Grandpa.
Und hier spielen die Mädchen die amerikanische Variante von "Mensch ärgere Dich nicht" mit dem amerikanischen Großvater.
Did you stay at a hotel? The pool looks so nice! And the shrine is lovely. How do you learn about where they are? We used to play Sorry often when the girls were little. I hope you had a good visit with the family. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes, we like to stay in Norwalk at the Best Western although this time, there were quite a few things not working right (faucet, drain, etc.). That particular shrine is in the AAA book. That is how we found out about it year ago when the children were little. Sometimes I like to google and see if there are any religious sites nearby. Yes, we saw Peter's parents and brother. Due to some family emergencies, we were not able to see his sisters.

ReplyDeleteI've just looked at your sidebar and noted that Veronika will be studying fashion design. I think it is just brilliant to see how each of your young people have played to their strengths and fostered their own interests which are as diverse as their characters. All those life experiences over the years have no doubt also contributed to their chosen field of study. You must be very proud xx
Yes, especially the older we all get. Veronika is going to do fashion design with an emphasis on costume design. She would like to work for the ballet or theater world. Yes, I am proud of all their different paths, and I have been trying to find out their strengths (and weaknesses) during their high school years and help them to succeed.
