My husband and I talk about going to Luxembourg one day and doing a pilgrimage throughout Europe when the kids are all older. This will be a LONG time from now, though. There are a couple of Germans in the area who homeschool and are Catholic, but alas I never get to talk to them since we see each other in passing. We were attending a Melkite (Eastern Catholic) parish quite regularly last year, and there was a lady there from Austria who spoke with the kids every Sunday. It was great! We have now moved farther away, so do not get to attend that parish so often. I am in great need of adult German conversation, to say the least. There are a few that have been modernized a little bit, but unfortunately have not been edited well. By the way, my son really likes their literature selections.Evahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16831448349166435125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-287923374500556606.post-62341864624164705112010-10-30T23:27:56.894-04:002010-10-30T23:27:56.894-04:00Danke, liebe Sybille.

My husband's family is 3rd generation German-American, and no longer speak the language. We thought we would just go for it. We have three children 3 and under, and they are speaking both languages just fine...with the occasional gender mistake.Aleciahttp://www.homeschoolphilosopher.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-287923374500556606.post-14605828091037256042010-10-29T10:13:54.877-04:002010-10-29T10:13:54.877-04:00I've noticed the same with the old fashioned C...I've noticed the same with the old fashioned Christian textbooks. I'm sure that's why my son prefers his Rod & Staff textbooks - they are "to the point" without a lot of distracting colored pictures. We'll probably be using some of those Lepanto Press books in the future.
Macht weiter so! :)Sybillehttp://www.buntblume.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
