Part 2/Teil 2

She did NOT dance in her sandals!
Sie hat nicht in ihren Sandalen getanzt!

I didn't get to post yesterday because in the morning we were dealing with another robbed bunny's nest by Julius.  He brought one half dead bunny home, I put it in a box, hoping it would survive and we could take it to the wildlife lady, but it died soon.  Then Miriam and Veronika followed Julius to see if he was going to get some more, and indeed he did go to the nest in a neighbor's yard.  What a sad sight!  He had killed two more and had injured another one.  I "lectured" to him and at the same time grabbed him and took him home.  He knows he is not supposed to do this, but what can you do, he is a cat after all.  Then I went back and got the last alive bunny.  We put it into the box while Jonathan (who had come home from botany with Charlotte) buried the first dead one.  We called the wildlife lady and she took the injured one.  She told us that our first bunny was doing well.  She had put it onto antibiotics right away and it was doing wonderfully.  I am not so sure if the one from yesterday will make it, though.

In the afternoon I helped Charlotte with her cleaning job at a house in town.  Charlotte did not have to clean all winter, but now she had to get the house ready for the lady's arrival from winter quarters.  There are some interesting wooden "sights" on the way (see above).  In the evening it was too hot and I was too tired to upload videos (why do they always take so long)?  But today there were no dead or injured animals and no major cleaning projects.  Unfortunately, they are not so well done because I had Flora on my lap and my arms had gotten tired from so much filming.  So, here you go:

  1. Such beautiful dancing, Eva! So many steps to learn and remember . . and feelings to evoke; a story to portray. Chanda was happy to see the mime was kept in. She says some ballet companies leave it out now (i.e. the Bolshoi and Kirov!!), but she loves it and says it was well done. Kudos to all the dancers. The grown ups must feel happy and pleased to see their young ones do such good work.

Tsk tsk to Julius! I'm sorry you've had to deal with hurt little bunnies. I hope they have learned to make a home elsewhere and that Julius doesn't find anymore of them!

    1. Thanks so much, Dorina. Interesting that some companies leave that out. I think that would make it rather sad (or just interesting for dancers that know all the dance steps, but not for the mainstream audience).

No more bunnies today, but those bunnies are so "stupid" when it comes to nest building. They simply build them between the roots of a tree where any predator can get their young ones. They are not even in the ground, but out in the open. No wonder, Julius gets them again and again.

  3. I had to smile when I read the bit about you lecturing Julius, in one ear and out the other no doubt!!

You were very Kind helping with the cleaning, I love the shot of her playing peek a boo behind the cupboard!

I cannot for some reason watch the videos via my iPhone so will catch up on the ballet news when I am next at the computer.

    Hugs to you

    San xx

    1. He knows how angry we get and he does look a bit guilty, but as you said, he forgets it immediately.

The house looks pretty good now. Today I went back to turn on the hot water. One of the neighbors of the house is going to plant some flowers before the lady comes back. That will look nice.

Maybe it only works with a real computer, I hope you will get them to work.

That is what Veronika was wearing just until recently. Now she is up to 134. So Pip must be much bigger than Flora. Amazing!

    2. Veronika also has a few things in 128 I should add.
