Flora's "Flowers"/Floras "Blumen"

Nobody else has gotten sick!!! (Just Julius has gotten into a fight and received some minor wounds). Flora and Veronika are doing so much better.  Flora is pretty much her old self again, just Veronika is still weak.  They both made wooden flowers and Flora arranged them on the floor to water them with a jumping rope we made at the Waldorf school a few years ago!

She had to miss two ballet classes and so she decided to practice at home.

I almost finished Miriam's curriculum planning (in addition to Live Education! for next year.  Take a look here

  3. hello eva, i'm glad all of you were spared illness, and that veronika and flora are doing better. the poor dears . . stomach bugs are so awful to get through . . i hope you had some cooler breezes to help you through it. it's been better here for us . . maybe the heat and sun visited san for a little bit. that would be nice.

hooray for getting your lessons planned! and your photos of the moonrise were amazing. what setting did you use on your camera? they were really lovely, along with all of your travel pics. it's nice that you could get out to see beautiful upstate new york. you know, central park also has a statue of the indian hunter by john quincy adams ward. there must have been several castings. stay well!

    1. I am too!! Especially Peter was counting hours to find our when the next one would get sick :). It has gotten quite cool here also. We are closing some of the windows at night. Yes, San definitely needs some sun! I can't imagine a summer like that (although as a child I did spent some cold summers like that in Denmark).

I'm not done planning, but I'm making good progress. What setting did I use? Mm, I think I used the sunset setting, which worked the best. Are you sure the statue is still in Central Park? I read that they moved it from Central Park to Cooperstown!

  4. hello eva, it was there on march 30th: http://outsideblue.blogspot.com/2012/03/day-in-park.html

could they have moved it since then?

i sometimes think i wouldn't mind such cold summers, but if i actually had to experience it, maybe i would!

    1. I somewhere read that they moved it, but now I found this. So I guess there are three statues. I have never seen the one in Buffalo.
