Nature Art/Naturkunst

Miriam and Veronika have been busy making pictures out of leaves, twigs, sand, and other items they found outside.

Miriam und Veronika haben in den letzten Tagen Bilder aus Blättern, Zweigen, Sand und anderen Fundstücken von draußen gestaltet.

  1. Very nice. :) We do a lot of this here. My daughter is collecting acorns and painting the seed part, leaving the cap natural. They are actually very pretty like this. I would have never thought this. Leaf rubbings are popular and bringing in all sorts of dirty stuff from the garden. I just wiped off quite a bit of sand off the dining table. ;)

  2. I think your daughter and my daughters would make a great playdate with lots of creativity! What type of paint are you using for coloring the acorns?

  3. Sorry that I am just now commenting! I've gotten behind on the computer. For some reason I've got terrible insomnia, and my days and nights are getting blurred.

I'm fairly certain it was an acrylic. She likes to go "shopping" at the thrift store where she found a big bag full of unlabeled craft paint pots. They were small, and I think I've seen them sold as acrylics. The colors where so pretty. I found some more at the Dollar Tree in primary colors which she can mix.

Too bad we don't live closer. Yes, I think Olivia would enjoy the company of another creative little girl. :)

  4. Oh no, insomnia can be bad. It reminds me of my pregnancies. I always joked that I slept better with a newborn than during a pregnancy. I hope you will find out what the problem is. Try magnesium supplements, they make you tired and relaxed. My husband's cousin is named Olivia -- what a pretty name. We could provide four creative girls as playmates:-)! Who knows, maybe one day we'll meet in person. Thanks for getting back on the paints.

  5. Yes, I was thinking of magnesium too. It seems a bit better now. I got a dehumidifier which has made the house much more comfortable.

Wouldn't that be nice! If you are ever in the area, please feel free to contact me.

  6. I like magnesium citrate. If we ever come into your area, I will contact you. Thanks for the offer.
