March Madness/"März Wahnsinn"

This household is very preoccupied with a game called basketball, to be exact college basketball, right now.  Everybody (except Flora) has filled out his (or her) bracket and is waiting to hear about updates via computer or newspaper.  Since I have no interest in this whatsoever, I found time to finish the cap for Veronika's doll.  Now she needs "real hair" on top.  We've been busy with swimming, gymnastics, ballet, a play date for Charlotte, playing in the mud/water, doing good works to remove some of the thorns from our crown of thorns, and, of course, schoolwork.  I haven't taken many pictures lately, but here are a few:

Tomorrow we will watch maple syrup making with one of our homeschool groups.  We also plan to attend a talk on wampum.

  4. What fun! My daughter loves to play in the water like that. I had to fill up a tub outside the other day. She wants me to set up the pool already. :)

  7. Hello Dorina, Ravensburger games are THE German children's games, the ones I grew up with. Haba games are fairly new. There are some great ones among the Ravenburger ones, many are now available in this country.

    Thanks for the compliments!

  9. Hello San, thanks for the compliment. I'm not the most talented person when it comes to handwork, but I'm learning. I'm always happy when projects turn out the way I had planned them to. Veronika is very pleased with "Elisabeth."

I had to laugh about the sticky end: Flora's jacket was very sticky when we were done!
