Jonathan studied Kepler's third law and reviewed square and cubic numbers for that. Charlotte made a drawing about surveying and the use of the triangle.
The greatest surprise today were two large packages from the grandparents in Germany filled with German homeschooling materials and a few other presents. We received Timm Thaler by James Krüss, Ronja Räubertochter (Ronia, the Robber's Daughter) by Astrid Lindgren, basic vocabulary in Latin (Grundwortschatz Latein), basic vocabulary in French with CD (Grundwortschatz Französisch), German dictation exercises for grade 2 (Diktate 2. Klasse Deutsch) and for grades 5/6 (Diktate 5./6. Klasse), and the German original of Gombrich's A Little History of the World (Eine kurze Weltgeschichte für junge Leser), plus the same book as audiobook. Miriam also received the second book for her German primer Tobi-Fibel, Rechtschreibkurs, neue Rechtschreibung, 2. Schuljahr, Schülerarbeitsheft in Lateinischer Ausgangsschrift. Everybody was very happy!!! A big thank-you to Germany!!!
